As if to aid me in my answer, I held out my nametag for him to read and replied “It’s an event put on by The Gospel...

I went to the Gospel Coalition Women’s Conference on the book of Nehemiah. That still makes me laugh. Who teaches Nehemiah at a women’s conference? And beyond that, no one taught a single leadership principle! Not one. Because that isn’t the heart of Nehemiah or the overall story of the Bible: the story is God, in love, redeeming His people....

(This is Part Two of this story. Please see yesterday's post for Part One.)
The day my Uncle Rocky died I was heartbroken, but I knew I had to tell Josh and Jaime. I still remember feeling perplexed and disappointed. I didn't remember ever believing so strongly that God would heal. I had so wanted them to witness a real miracle......

History isn't very important to a lot of people. But my husband was a history major who has transferred his love of history to our family. Sometime I will have to blog about the competition five of our kids engaged in with the same college history professor…
This morning at Redeemer Church history was on display.

I don't remember the first time we met him, but it was close to 10 years ago. Alex was just out of high school and wanted to be a professional musician. He was giving his life to this goal - and it resulted in him leaning away from the church in which his family had been involved for years. ...
